Edinburgh- our last day in Scotland

Oh yes, we tried Haggis!

Edinburgh was our last stop in Scotland. The weather was quite nice and no wind thankfully. We visited Holyrood Palace which is the Queen’s Palace in Scotland although she vacations in Balmoral. We were not allowed to take pictures inside. However, we did get pics of the outside, the old Abby, and the Gardens (I can see why she likes to walk her Dogs there). From there we walked up the Royal Mile and stopped in a little restaurant for a nice meal with Lee before she had to head home, and yes, we tried Haggis. It wasn’t too bad if you didn’t think about what’s in it.
Tomorrow we head to London.

Solheim Cup- done and dusted

Well, Solheim Cup 2019 is in the books. By far the best competition I have seen in my 7 Solheims. The venue of Gleneagles was fabulous. Sat. was a weather challenge with 40-50 mph winds and a few rain drops. We met a lot of fun people along the way. Now on to Edinburgh.

Stirling Scotland Day 2

An exciting day today. We were headed to St. Andrews, the home of golf, but instead found out how the travel assistance works here in Scotland. Yep, a flat tire and no spare. So we bagged the idea of going to St. Andrews and had a lovely lunch then went to check out Gleneagles.
Tomorrow we are expecting a good deal of rain which will clear for the opening ceremony!

For my Game of Thrones and Outlander watchers, I included a pic of Doune Castle. It is used as the set for Winterfell and Leoch.

Enjoy the pics by scrolling down (they show up on the right).

Day 1 Stirling

Stirling Castle

View Scotland/London on Ludema00's travel map.

Hello All,
Everyone made it to Scotland with no issues. Even though we arrived at different times, we all made our way to our Airbnb with no issues. Today we visited the Stirling Castle here in Stirling, Scotland, where we are staying. This was a castle that at one time was ruled by William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Mary Queen of Scots. The grounds were so green and lush it almost hurts your eyes. The weather was just great although we may see some rain tomorrow.
For Brothers Tim and Merle, we have some excellent Gin made here in Stirling and visited the Deanston Distillery for a Scotch tasting. Both were really really good!
Tomorrow it’s off to St. Andew’s.

Be sure to look in the photo gallery.
